The John Fielden Award for Junior pilots
For many people John Fielden was Enterprise. Fighting the growing restrictions of competition flying Philip Wills asked John to hold the 'Enterprise' Baton when the competition first started in 1974. From that date he successfully directed virtually every Enterprise until his death in 2002. It was always his desire to encourage younger pilots to follow his philosophy. Following Philip’s death, his widow provided a sum of money to be used to fund awards to assist Junior pilots to enter Competition Enterprise. Junior pilots are those whose 26th birthday is after the end of the year of the Competition.
Award(s) of up to £350, are available each year to contribute towards the entry, launch, travel and accommodation costs of participating in the Competition. The number and value of the awards made is at the discretion of the Enterprise Club Officers if there are deserving applications.
Successful applicants will be advised of the level of award they have received before the start of the Competition.
Applications may be made at any time but should be submitted before May 1st 2018.
The application form, fully completed, should be sent to the Enterprise Club Secretary, Andrew Reid, Andrew.G.Reid@BTInternet.com
